Dear Parents:
On behalf of the Interfraternity Council at DePaul University, I would like to welcome you and your family to our fraternal community. I have the privilege of serving as the IFC President from November 2009-March 2011. With 7 chapters under the council, we are proud to be recognized as the largest all-male organization on North America's largest Catholic-based university.
As we look forward to the year ahead, we plan to continue the great strides that the Interfraternity Council has made throughout the years. Each of the fraternity and sorority community's three councils continue to persist in creating a strong interfraternal bond. We have recently refueled our commitment to academics, community service, and philanthropic efforts by placing a set of minimum standards on all chapters within the IFC community. The fraternity system at DePaul is recognized for outstanding leadership on campus and dedication to aiding the greater Chicagoland area.
We intend on building upon our current state, making strides to better every man who becomes a part of the interfraternal community. We will continue to establish relationships with other organizations on and off DePaul's campus and promote a positive image of the fraternity-man. By uniting DePaul’s fraternity and sorority community, we can truly demonstrate the values of all our organizations.
Realizing that we are the future, the actions that we engage in and values that we live by have the potential to influence the greater communities around DePaul University and Chicago. We embrace this and pledge to become leaders and valuable members of our community.
Paul DiMasi
Interfraternity Council President
